SMART LADDER

A recent report in Australia (October 2016) has identified that roughly 5,000 people each year are hospitalised after falling off a ladder, and even more concerningly, that this trend is on the rise in both occupational and non-occupational environments.

Our group is designing a smart ladder that aims to encourage safe usage throughout its setup and operation by monitoring and providing feedback to the operator about how safely they are using the ladder.
