The UK-Africa Food Security Symposium 2018 is taking place on Tuesday, 11 September at the Sainsbury Laboratory Auditorium, University of Cambridge, UK. The Symposium provides a unique avenue for Cambridge researchers to come together with NGOs, students, and research professionals from Africa, elsewhere in the UK, and the EU, exchange knowledge, and develop new effective strategies and partnerships that can help address food insecurity in sub-Saharan Africa. It includes keynote addresses, panel sessions and a 'Bio-innovation for Africa' pitching competition, which is designed to encourage African researchers to become more proactive in finding solutions to some of the problems faced in Africa, especially in education, agriculture and the environment.
Please use the form below to register for your place at the Symposium. We have a few funded places to support early-career researchers and professionals (across different disciplines, e.g. social sciences, business, policy, etc.) from the UK and EU. To be considered for a funded place, please complete the 'For Funding Applicants Only' section in the form below. There is no registration fee.
