We are happy to announce that Prof. Amit Bhaduri, D. Bandodkar Chair Professor in Political Economy, Goa University will be delivering three lectures on the following topics (below). These would be of interest to anyone who wishes to familiarise oneself with the evolution of macroeconomic thought and make sense of the ongoing economic crisis in the USA and Europe.

1. The principle of effective demand (July 27, Monday, 3.00 to 4.30 pm)
2. Effective demand in a monetary economy (July 29, Monday, 3.00 to 4.30 pm)
3. Financial globalisation and its Consequences (July 31, Monday, 3.00 to 4.30 pm)

The venue for the lectures will be Seminar Hall, Faculty of Social Sciences, Goa University.

The Lectures are open to all. participants are requested to register online
