Leadership Rochester Volunteers
You can help create meaningful program experiences for the Leadership Rochester Class! Leadership Rochester is seeking volunteers who are committed to strengthening  leaders in our community.  Even if you're not an expert in a particular topic, you can offer supportive help to a committee and benefit by connecting with leaders outside your field .

The time commitment varies but are generally manageable for busy leaders.

Volunteers can serve in a variety of ways:
-- Program Day Planning Committees
-- Marketing & Recruitment Committee
-- Fundraising & Scholarship Committee

BENEFITS?

Volunteers have the opportunity to meet other LR-alumni and connect with community leaders while working to strengthening and supporting the Leadership Rochester program for future leaders.

Volunteers will be listed on our website and will be invited to other events throughout the year.   Volunteers will be invited to support the new class along their journey and attend graduation.

Program Planning Committee(s):
WHAT'S THE GOAL?

LR connects with leaders and experts in our community to create quality experiences for each class.  We do this by presenting speakers and field site visits that allow the class to learn about issues that our community is facing first hand.

WHAT DOES A PROGRAM DAY PLANNING COMMITTEE DO?

Each year, small teams of volunteers help plan our program days by prioritizing current discussion topics, connecting with speakers and panelists, and helping to organize field trips and experiences for the day.  The committees ensures that experts and stakeholders of diverse backgrounds present to the class to share their  knowledge about the topic.  They also provide supportive informational resources for the class.

TIME COMMITMENT?

2 planning meetings
-- Meeting 1 is typically done in-person so the planning committee can meet one another.
-- Meeting 2  is in person, or may be done by teleconference or e-mail
Members are also invited to attend the program day you're helping plan if you're schedule allows.

I am interested in planning the following program days/events:
Would you like to meet other planning committee members at a volunteer kick-off meeting held this summer/fall?

INTERESTED IN LEADING A COMMITTEE?
Program Planning Committee Chairs are also back for 2019! This offers a great opportunity to build your leadership skills and connections while serving.  Chairs work with the Executive Director to lead the planning committees. Chairs connect and help make sure the committees are successful. As Chair, you are invited to class welcome and networking events and graduation.  Chairpersons are reviewed and approved by a Leadership Rochester Board Representative.
