I wish to apply for appointment to the Umpires Panel for World Cup 2018.
I understand that:
All nominations will be reviewed by the HA Officiating and Appointments Committee.
All officials will be required to agree to abide by the FIH Code of Conduct and the HA Code of Conduct, copies of which are available on the HA Women's Masters Hockey website.
All officials are self funded. You will need to have a passport that is valid until March 2019 in order to travel to Spain.
Important Information for consideration when submitting your EOI:
Commitment to the event is from Wednesday 25 July to Sunday 5 August. Officials will be offered two options:
1.
Arrive in Terrassa on 25 July in time for pre event meetings.
2.
Arrive in Barcelona with Players on Saturday 21 July and attend Welcome Dinner to be held 22 July and do some sight seeing until 25 July (this will be at additional cost).
Terrassa is approx 35km from Barcelona. It is expected to be hot.
Pre-tournament training in Barcelona or Terrassa will be organised for all teams on the days prior to commencement of the tournament.
Team entries for the World Cup will not close until the end of March 2018, at which time age groups competing will be confirmed.
Media outlets report continued unrest in Spain. While HA Women’s Masters Council is confident that a Masters Hockey World Cup will be held in Europe in 2018 we advise that any airfares booked at this time should be able to be altered or refunded without penalty in case of venue change.
Air travel arrangements to and from Barcelona are the responsibility of selected players and officials at their own expense.
All selected players and appointed officials will be required to stay at the accommodation booked by HAWMC. Suitable transport during the tournament will be organised.
Participation is at official's full expense and anticipated cost is approximately $2,200 which includes accommodation, team transport, and any official dinners that may be arranged.
Uniform is an additional expense.
