Survey for Producers
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), more commonly known as 'drones', have increased in popularity in recent years with practical use for commercial applications. The BC Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Government of Canada through Growing Forward 2 federal-provincial-territorial initiative, is interested in your perspective on the use of UAVs in agriculture and how the technology is, or can be, best used by the industry.

If you answered No, what are the reasons why you feel UAVs are not an effective tool in agriculture?
4. What are your top 3 concerns when it comes to crop health on your farm?
For your top 3 concerns above, how many man-hours would you say you spend on each task every week?

10. Do you feel that information on UAV services is readily available?
Clear selection
If not, is there any way that the you think information could be made available to producers?
11. What other aspects of crop production would you be interested in exploring with UAVs?
12. Do you feel that using UAVs in agricultural operations is something that you or your employees have time for?
Clear selection
13. Currently UAV operations in Canada must be conducted within visual line of sight of the operator or a spotter. Do you think that allowing UAVs to be operated beyond the visual line of sight of its operator would make it easier to use UAVs in agriculture?
