The 11th annual School of Madison Ballet Workshop will be held at the Fredric March Play Circle at the Memorial Union, Saturday, June 8th, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The SMB Workshop, modeled after similar “informances” at other professional dance schools, is an exciting performance opportunity for students and a chance for families and friends to learn more about how dancers train. At the workshop, students in SMB level's Pre-Ballet through Level 3 demonstrate typical class combinations and advanced students perform selected variations from classical and contemporary ballet repertoire. This is also a wonderful opportunity for students to see and learn from watching their peers.
The Workshop is open to SMB dancers (Levels Pre-ballet through Trainee).Participation is not mandatory (so regular classes will not be interrupted), but dancers who wish to participate must be available for all rehearsals and both performances. There will be rehearsals - please see rehearsal schedule - held on weekends at the Odana Studios May 18th, June 1st, and June 2nd.
Performances:
SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m (Fredric March Play Circle)
