Zoomobile programs engage students by bringing biofacts (animal skins, skulls, and more) and a live animal ambassador into schools to help them learn and retain concepts such as habitats, adaptations, classification, predator/prey relationships and much more. All of the programs offered help teachers meet curriculum requirements in a memorable way, and meet TN state standards across the curriculum.

Availability Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Programs can start as early as 8:30 a.m. for schools within 40 miles round-trip driving distance (20 miles one-way) from the zoo. Allow for extra travel time if your school is further away.

 Classroom Programs are presented to a single classroom at a time and are designed to be the most interactive of the programs for small groups.  Classroom programs are available for preschool through College.

 Team Programs bring two classes together for each presentation. This is a good compromise between classroom programs and assembly programs. Team programs are more up-close and interactive and topic focused than the assembly programs, but less interactive than the classroom programs.  Team programs are available for Kindergarten through College.

All of the Zoomobile programs that include a program fee also include a mileage fee.  The distance is calculated round-trip and the amounts below are totals.

Mileage is calculated using directions from Google maps starting from 3500 Knoxville Zoo Dr.  Multiply the distance by 2 to get the round-trip distance.  If multiple routes are given, we use the route that has the shortest driving time.  Prices subject to change without notice.
