Miliyun Chiu, PhD
Miliyun Chiu PhD has over 15 years of experience in medical science, including academic research, new drug development, clinic operations, regulatory and global product launch. Miliyun gained her PhD in Molecular Medicine and MSc in Health Economics. Prior to launching her startup company Peony Solutions, she was the operations director for GSK Global R&D (consumer health). Her last project, DoctorForum, developed a physician education platform which created a new medical association and 7 specialist clinics across China; her current project, xixilab, will launch a series of oral health products (clear aligners, whitening kit and advance cleaning product) personalized for each consumer. Miliyun grew up in Hong Kong and the UK, and have worked in Denmark, the US, Peru and China.
Arthur Chen
A serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Arthur works as the Executive Director at BE Capital, a healthcare focused investment firm, where he manages and invests a portfolio of technology ventures in the USA and Greater China. Meanwhile, he is also an impact investor at #43 Ventures, with strong dedication to supporting youth entrepreneurship. Prior to PE/VC experience, Arthur was the managing partner of AlumVest, an online equity based platform connecting entrepreneurs from leading educational institutions with alumni and peer investors, and CEO of Kenyataa Light World, the start-up he founded in 2010, to develop transformational technologies and business models that revolutionize the economics & daily tasks of improvised families in Africa and developing countries. He is an amateur Jazz sax and basketball lover.
