To what extent do you think the conference achieved its objectives?
In case you need a reminder: The primary objective of the FCFA Mid-term conference is to provide a forum for the research consortia to have a critical two-way engagement around shared research interests so as to gain a deeper understanding of each other’s activities through interdisciplinary exchanges across thematic FCFA “pillars”, share progress, and formulate collaborative activities for the next half of the program. It also provides opportunity for reflection on successes and challenges of implementing the demonstration pilot projects working with users, intermediaries and policy makers at regional, national, sub-national and local levels. The secondary objective is to create awareness within the FCFA family on the program Impact and Legacy Strategy, develop a roadmap for FCFA’s legacy to inform a wider and on-going climate and development research agenda in Africa post-2019, laying down modalities for cross-program learning and “capstone reports”.
