Theme Housing is a program established to promote a direct link between residential, academic and
service learning for students at Southern Nazarene University. It is designed to provide students the opportunity to serve weekly with a local organization and live in community together in campus housing so there can be consistent learning and processing through the experience of serving others. Each of the 4 Theme Houses will be serving in after school programs that help mentor, tutor and speak life into elementary, middle and high school age students.
Theme house expectations and responsibilities
Each Theme House member will be required to serve at least 2 hours each week with the local organization.
Each Theme House member will be required to attend a bi-weekly meeting on Tuesday evenings in their house.
Each Theme House member will be held to the same standard as those in student leadership positions on campus.
Each Theme House member will be required to attend all necessary training for Theme Housing as well as any training
required from the house's partnering organization.
