7 We often use PAST TENSES when we write a story. We use PAST CONTINUOUS for background information, and PAST SIMPLE and PAST PERFECT to talk about events in the story.

8 You are going to write a short story. Your story must begin with the sentence ' Rob was looking forward to his first day at the new school, but in the beginning, things didn't go as he'd planned'.

9 Here you are good and bad things. Choose an adjective from below to describe Rob's feelings in the following situations and write a sentence for each situation.
