Who am I?
My name is Jack Slater and I am a honours student in Software Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington. This research project is work towards my thesis.

What is the aim of the project?
This project aims to help understand how we can visualize and categorize large software systems as they change over time.
This research has been approved by the Victoria University of Wellington Human Ethics Committee 0000026217.

How can you help?
You have been invited to participate because you are user of software systems, in particularly Java systems and you have knowledge of how they are built. This puts you in a good position to critique the usefulness of the visualizations which you are displayed. If you agree to take part you will complete a survey. The survey will ask you questions about software visualizations. The survey will take you 30 minutes to complete.

What will happen to the information you give?
Your answers to the questionnaire provided will remain anonymous, any data used in my research will be based on aggregated results from participants.  The information received is going to be used to assess how effective the visualizations produced are. The questionnaire itself should contain no personally identifiable information, thus maintaining the anonymity of participants.

What will the project produce?
The information from my research will be used in my honours report, CorpusVis: Software Metrics Visualization
