Request For Proposals - SMUSH Gallery
Welcome to SMUSH Gallery's rolling RFP form! We are so glad you're here.

AUGUST 2023 UPDATE: We are actively programming events for the '23-'24 season. Our visual art calendar is full, and proposals for full-gallery visual art shows will be considered for Fall '24 or as short-term Supported Projects for the '23-'24 season. We are happy to receive all proposals regardless.

Before you submit, please note:
- SMUSH Gallery seeks enthusiastic proposals for creative and community work within and across disciplines.
- Each proposal is reviewed carefully and will receive a response; your patience is appreciated. If you haven't received a response within one month of your submission, please kindly email hello@smushgallery.com.
- Throughout this form, "project" refers to your proposal,  whether an event, exhibition, class, workshop, lecture, etc.
- Programmed events may overlap when reasonable. (Ex. a concert may take place while an art exhibit is up.)

We strive to produce a wide range of high quality events and to maintain responsible business practices. While money is not the focus of our work, we acknowledge that our work takes resources. To that end, all projects must further the gallery's financial, as well as programmatic, goals. Accepted projects may take the following forms:
- Co-Produced Projects, which receive space, time, publicity, and collaboration/development/dialog, as needed. Revenue sharing options will be discussed upon acceptance.
- Supported Projects, which receive space, time, publicity, and collaboration/development/dialog, as needed, *as part of a rental agreement.* Details will be discussed upon acceptance.
- Please note: For the 2023-2024 season, we will be able to accept a very limited number of co-produced projects.

In the instance that SMUSH is not able to co-produce or support your project, space rentals are available. Artists may independently produce their project and keep all proceeds. Additional restrictions apply. Please visit smushgallery.com/rentals for more information.

... and when in doubt, pitch!
