Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Social Sector Edition-Costa Rica

July 6-13 (Optional add-on, customizable week)

Learn. Play. Discover.  Costa Rica!  This highly experiential, field-based course takes increasingly deep dives into social ventures including women-empowered coffee businesses, squatter-settlement education, sustainable-community fishing and child physical therapy and leadership development with horses.  Learn design thinking, social venture modeling and consulting in this journey of self-discovery.  Participants will also be recognized with a joint Global Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Certificate from the Center for Executive Education at the United Nations mandated University for Peace and the WWU’s IDEA Institute.  Join us in this beautiful, safe and welcoming country for an epic travel experience of a lifetime!  Space is limited.

Who is considered a professional?  Anyone not currently attending a university at least half-time; University students may attend as a professional and receive a student discount rather than receiving university credit.

The cost for professionals is $4525 (excluding airfare).  The fee includes the first two weeks of the experiential classroom (3 instructors), lodging, in-country transportation,  some meals, and support of guides fluent in Spanish who are highly familiar with Costa Rica.  If you choose to stay the optional customized week, you will be responsible for lodging, meals and transport (insurance and virtual contact with guides remains in place).  

The program design is built through the lens of the professional.  The experience will be the same for all participants and professionals will also be eligible be awarded the certificate.  University students earning credit will fulfill additional requirements.
