Calling all kids! At Trinity Lutheran Church, we LOVE music. We believe every child should have the chance to sing and find their voice. Our community children's choir is a free program for young children ages 4-9. Our next session begins Wednesday January 30, 2019
Each week, we'll learn songs in a variety of styles and play singing games that will help your child learn to sing and develop music fundamentals, such as keeping a steady beat. This is the perfect age for your child to explore music and to make new friends. The program is open to any child in the community.
Weekly classes will be Wednesday afternoons in the church sanctuary.
The songs we learn will be uplifting and inclusive and will be appropriate for children from any faith tradition. See below for videos from our fall performance.
Pre K- K: Wednesdays 3-3:45 pm
Grades 1-4: Wednesdays 4-4:45 pm

Music at Trinity!

Trinity Alameda is a welcoming congregation that loves music and actively serves the community. Julie Haydon, Director of Music Ministry loves working with kids of all ages and helping them discover the magic of music. In addition to her work at Trinity with the choir, bell choir and youth, Julie is the Director of Cantare Children's Choirs of Oaklands, where she oversees a music program for 2000 K-12 students in underserved Oakland schools. Julie previously taught preschool music at Diablo Valley Montessori School in Lafayette and holds a Master's Degree in Music Education from Holy Names University.

This program is free of charge. Families may choose to make a $20 donation to cover the cost for a tshirt and songbook for each child to keep. Donations may be made by cash or check at any time (payable to Trinity Lutheran Church).
