ABOUT THE POSITION: The National Wellness Officer serves as external representative from CFMS on the following committees: Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) Group on Physician Health & Well-being and the CMA Canadian Conference on Physician Health Program Planning Committee (every 2 years).
The National Officer of Wellness will hold the position of Chair of the Wellness Committee. In addition to the responsibilities of the National Wellness Officer, the Chair will be responsible for:

- Organizing meetings;
- Preparing and distributing agendas in advance of meetings;
- Ensuring minutes are collected at each meeting and distributed to all members of the committee;
- Facilitating communication within the committee;
- Providing leadership on committee tasks; and
- Overseeing all subcommittees, and communicating regularly with the chairs of these subcommittees.

Experience and background in medical student wellness committees would be an asset.
