Delta Chi Xi: Honorary Dance Fraternity Inc. Application
Delta Chi Xi is an Honorary Dance Fraternity (co-educational) that was founded on April 20, 2010 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The concept of this organization was created by three visionaries, Jennifer R. Cheek, Kristina M. Rogers, and Kara J. Wade. We created this organization with a purpose to support the Department of Dance, students, and our respective community.

Delta Chi Xi acknowledges the academic excellence of students in the dance department, creates a network with our peers through dance, and performs volunteer projects to help our schools and communities.
As a member of Delta Chi Xi, we expect everyone to play an active role in the organization and to maintain the standard of scholarship that is required.

Commitment as a member includes, but is not limited to:
1. Attending meetings hosted by the organization
2. Assisting with classes and workshops hosted each semester
3. Take part in fundraisers and bonding events
4. Volunteer service each semester with service days, and/or department duties (example: undergraduate auditions or High School Day of Dance and a service project in the community).

The minimum requirements of Delta Chi Xi are as listed:

1. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or above
2. Sophomore Classification or above (Freshman may apply in their 2nd semester)
3. Being a declared Dance Major or meeting the following non-major requirements:
-At least 3 credits of a dance class every semester

If selected as a member of Delta Chi Xi, you must complete a payment of $135 for initiation dues to the National Board.
This fee includes: An official t-shirt, graduation cords, a tote bag, certificate of membership, pin, handbook and semester dues to the National Board.

New members must participate in Delta Chi Xi intake process and be present for the induction ceremony. These and other important dates are listed below. You are being informed of these dates with ample time to clear your schedule/ask off work/plan ahead.
