Anonymous Feedback - Addressing Gendered & Sexualized Violence at SSMU
The SSMU recognizes that there is a systemic issue of gendered and sexualized violence at McGill University. Recent events within SSMU, including the resignations of our Vice-President (External) and President, have brought public attention to this situation. The SSMU Executive Committee has committed to a number of actions in order to address this issue, which are available in full here: http://ssmu.mcgill.ca/?p=43470.

Based on recommendations from our members and discussions with the Community Disclosures Network (CDN), we will be developing improved reporting and recourse procedures for students who have experienced gendered and sexualized violence within a SSMU context. These will supplement existing procedures established through McGill University and external channels.

Any member of the community can share anonymous feedback through the below form, which will remain open until Friday, April 14th. All responses will be shared with the SSMU Executives and the Community Disclosures Network.

Other venues for feedback
* Focus groups facilitated by trained volunteers working with the CDN will be held for community members who have experienced sexual violence: https://goo.gl/LzPZR5
* An open forum will be held on Tuesday, April 11th from 6:00-9:00pm in rooms 202 and 203 of the SSMU Building: https://goo.gl/Aa54Xq

A report summarizing feedback, recommendations, and next steps based on these consultations will be published online and circulated to our members by Friday, April 30th.

We recognize that discussing issues of gendered or sexualized violence can be difficult. A list of support resources is available here: http://ssmu.mcgill.ca/?p=43470
