Ballinamore Energy Survey
A research project carried out by Good Energies Alliance Ireland (GEAI) and Institute of Technology Sligo (IT SLIGO) and funded by Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
GEAI and IT SLIGO are partners in the NECS project that is researching how people in six towns use energy – Drumshanbo, Carrick-on-Shannon, Ballinamore, Carrigallen, Ballyshannon and Grange - and how much it costs. This project is part of the National Plan for transition of communities all over Ireland to a low carbon economy, moving away from fossil fuels and using renewable energy resources.
We will be organising a Seminar in Ballinamore in September to give the results of the surveys back to the people and plan how your community can have better quality of life while spending less on fuel, heating and transport.
