Your child will be offered a puberty education unit as part of their health education class. The puberty unit is designed to support young people understand normal body growth and development. During the course of the curriculum, students will learn about normal body changes associated with the male and female reproductive systems during the preadolescent and adolescent years.
The puberty education unit is consistent with Shrewsbury Public Schools and state health education policies and standards. This unit has been approved by the superintendent, building based principal, and the Director of Health, Physical Education & Family Consumer Sciences.
If you DO NOT want your child to participate in this program, please complete the form below. If your child does not participate, this will not affect his/her grade in the course in any way. He/she will be given alternate assignments related to nutrition.
