Mercer County Community College                    ~Call for Proposals~                                                              Engaging Learners in the 21st Century        Wednesday, August 22, 2018
Welcome to the proposal submission for the EL21C Conference @ MCCC on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Presentations will be scheduled in 50 minute segments. Additionally, we are seeking POSTER/NETWORKING sessions that will be featured during the concluding cocktail reception. A prize will be awarded to the best poster (as voted by attendees). Please indicate your willingness to facilitate a poster in the event your topic is not selected for a full presentation. You may also select poster/networking.

Sessions may be in any of the following formats: visual presentation, technology simulation, hands-on activities (e.g., participant collaboration, assignment completion), workshops (i.e., learning how to apply a skill), large group discussion, research presentation, or demonstration. We are very interested in varied formats such as roundtables, panels, workshops. We are also adding a TECH TALK track that will showcase multiple presenters during a 50 minute block. Presenters will share/demonstrate technology for 10 minutes (total of 3 presenters selected for each slot) and then engage with participants during a 20 minute Q & A. All rooms have Internet, projectors, computers, audio, and white boards. Please specify a main presenter for whom contacts can be directed. Include a desired salutation (i.e., Dr., Mrs., Ms., Mr., Professor).

Because the theme of the conference is engaging learners in the 21st century, all presentations should emphasize ways to foster active pedagogy (in a variety of learning environments).

Please submit your proposal by MARCH 12, 2018 for consideration. Accepted presenters will be notified in April. If accepted, you must confirm your session within 5 days so please make sure that your email and phone number are correct to ensure communication. Please note the registration fee is $40 for presenters. If you have questions about the conference, or the submission process, feel free to contact Theresa Capra: caprat@mccc.edu   We thank you for your submission!
