Tell imprisoned writers around the world that you are standing with them this season.

As many of us celebrate the holidays, hundreds of writers imprisoned around the world need your support. From December 11 - 31, PEN will collect messages of solidarity to be delivered to a writer of your choosing by mail, email, or through our extensive network of contacts. Your message could simply state that you know of the writer's plight, that you hope your message brings them good spirit, and that people around the world like yourself will continue to fight for their freedom.

The prisoners below represent a variety of religious faiths. Therefore it is not advised that you send cards with overtly religious symbolism, including any reference to Christmas or other religious festivals, to any of the prisoners as this may cause problems.
