You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime experience at Camp Sacajawea on Casper Mountain from Saturday, August 19 thru Monday, August 21 hosted by Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming. The weekend will include:
• A fantastic program including hands on activities, sky viewing, take home items and
lots of amazing learning
• Eclipse Viewing Glasses
• Rustic accommodations
• Meals

Mady P., a Girl Scout from Santa Rosa, CA will be presenting an amazing program for GSMW. Mady has an Orion 8" Telescope, she is the Vice President of the Sonoma County Astronomical Society Youth Club as well as a Docent at the Robert Ferguson Observatory. Her dream is to work at the Jet Propulsion Lab for NASA. She will bring her Solar Telescope with a high density filter lens so participants can view the day and night skies.

Participants will learn about Solar topics of flares, prominences, etc. in the presentation along with Eclipse information on both Solar and Lunar eclipses. Programming schedule:
Saturday (8/19), Eclipse activities and stations throughout the afternoon
Sunday (8/20), Mady’s presentation, viewing and activities (4-6 hours)
Monday (8/21), Total Solar Eclipse at 11:43am!

90 registrant minimum to hold event.

Payment is required at the time the reservation is confirmed. No refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled.

All participants must be a registered Girl Scout. Adults, please register with your daughter’s troop. All girls age 5 and above must register. Girls under age 5 and boys under age 18 will be covered by additional insurance provided by GSMW.

Individuals with dietary restrictions must provide their own food. All food must be in a locked vehicle or inside the lodge kitchen labeled with names. Only those with dietary restrictions may utilize the kitchen facilities.

Due to limited parking, carpooling is requested. Should we exceed parking limits, we will shuttle individuals from a designated parking area in Casper to the camp.

All participants must bring their own bedding (sleeping bag, sheets/blankets, pillow, sleeping mat, toiletries)

All girls must be accompanied by either a troop leader or adult. Troops and parents are responsible for following the girl/adult ratios as stated in Volunteer Essentials.

No smoking, alcohol or pets are allowed

No non-registered individuals allowed.
