Thanks for your interest in volunteering with Puentes! The purpose of the Clinical II role is to give 3rd and 4th year medical students the opportunity to work in the clinic and see patients relatively independently, while being overseen by a physician preceptor.

** Disclaimer: Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, acceptance to the program does not guarantee involvement in this semester's clinic. Only students from medical schools that have granted explicit approval of in-person volunteer opportunities from their dean will be able to volunteer in person at the clinic. This will depend on the medical school program and the current state of the pandemic--ie: approvals are fluid and can be given and revoked as the semester progresses. The expectation is that all volunteers will follow the volunteering policies of both Puentes de Salud and their home institution upon acceptance as a Puentes volunteer. This expectation includes but is not limited to bringing and wearing appropriate PPE on the premises of Puentes de Salud. **

Eligibility: this role is limited to third and fourth-year medical students who speak Spanish fluently and have completed their 3rd year Internal Medicine clerkship. This role is primarily for those who have volunteered previously as a Puentes de Salud Clinical I volunteer.

Mondays 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Thursdays 9:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
