Please note that we recommend taking the Foundation Training and then gaining some experience and then taking Advanced course. If you have a lot of birth experience or are coming from out of country and wish to take both levels together please contact us to discuss it.

Cost for Foundation Training is €675,- and for Advanced Training  €675.-.

In preparation
We are looking forward to guiding you on your road to becoming a doula, supporting women and their families in pregnancy, birth and post-partum period. The women who are drawn to our training come from all backgrounds and walks of life; thankfully so, creating diversity in the available doulas, allows the doula community to serve the diversity of women seeking doulas.

In preparation for the workshop, we will send you a reader on the physiology and pathology of pregnancy.  In addition, you will find a list below of required reading, and an additional list of suggested, but not required reading.

If you have had children yourself, it can be very helpful in advance of the workshop, to write your birth story (or stories) if you haven’t already.  If you have written them, revisit them, what are you happy about, what do you perhaps wish had been different? What did you learn?  This is for your personal use and your own development. It can be interesting to imagine yourself as the doula at your own birth, what were your needs?   It can also be helpful in preparation for the workshop (both if you have children, and if you do not), to keep a journal about your thoughts around birth: What do you know? What do you want to know more about? What are your values and experiences that you will draw on in your work? What are your fears, or apprehensions around supporting women in birth?

It is our intention that the Foundation Training will provide you with a strong basis to begin your work as a doula. In addition, continued contact with us as your mentors, and your fellow students as your peer network you will have the support needed to continue your learning hands on in the period of internship and first clients.

*Cancellation Policy:
You can retract your registration without any cost within 14 days of filling out this form. If the training takes place within this 14 day period, you wave your right of withdrawal.

The invoice is payable latest 30 days prior to the training. Cancellation of this registration is possible up to 30 days prior, with a full refund less € 75,- administration fee (if you haven't paid yet, then we'll invoice you the € 75,-).
If a notification of cancellation is made less than 30 days before the start of the training, the full invoice is payable.
