BPS + Greenovate Boston Youth Leaders Training: Register Here!
Do you want to learn more about climate change's impacts on Boston? Do you want to be trained as a youth climate leader so you can make your schools and neighborhoods healthier, greener places to learn, play, and live?

Sign-up below to become a GREENOVATE BOSTON YOUTH LEADER!

Join your fellow BPS students at a free GREENOVATE BOSTON YOUTH LEADERS training led by Greenovate Boston and Boston Public Schools. This training will empower students with City of Boston climate change knowledge, leadership skills to train fellow students, and resources to lead environmental actions back at their schools. Teachers are welcome and encouraged to join their students.

This training is open to any BPS high school student. After completion of the training, Greenovate Boston Youth Leaders will be expected to return to their schools and organize other motivated students for:
1) Participation in a similar training (a peer training experience) at their school.
2) Selection and completion of a school-based environmental action. Greenovate Boston funding will be available to support the students' actions. Ideas for actions will be brainstormed and shared at the training.
3) Students will be invited to share their leadership with BPS and the City during a celebration in May/June.
4) BPS will support the ongoing continuation of the students' efforts through the formation of a permanent school-based student environmental organization/club (like BLS Youth Climate Action Network) or individual students' leadership efforts in their own neighborhoods.

Greenovate Boston and BPS staff will support students throughout all 4 steps. Support will include in-person coaching and mentoring, networking connections, funding, and access to resources needed for the actions.

▶ Training will be held Wednesday, January 23rd from 4pm-6pm at Teen Central within the Copley Boston Public Library, Johnson building, second floor, 700 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116. Copley Library is located near Copley Station on the Green Line, Back Bay Station on the Orange Line, and the 39 bus route.
▶ Food and beverages will be provided during the training.
