Title: Modeling Projectile Motion with Parametric Equations
With: Bruce MacMillan
Summary: The topic of parametric equations is a great fit in any trigonometry or precalculus class.
In this Teacher's Circle session, we will introduce the topic of parametric equations, discover how they can be used to model an object thrown into the air (projectile motion), and, finally, we will use a projectile launcher to shoot a ball into the air and predict its maximum height and the distance that it will travel.
