2019 Eagle Island State Park Planting
Help Eagle Island State Park provide new wildlife habitat and roadway shade/aesthetics by planting trees and shrubs at the park on Saturday, April 13, 2019, 9 am with Boy Scout Troop 100 and Rotary District 5400.
Meet at Eagle Island State Park Visitor Center, 165 Eagle Island Parkway, Eagle, ID 83616, for an introduction and snacks. After introductions, we will split into smaller groups to plant different areas of the park.
Please bring a shovel and gloves for each member of your group. Planting will involve some hiking, packing equipment, digging, kneeling, and bending over to plant. Planting will be by hand and shovel. Remember to dress appropriately for weather! Layer your clothing, wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and bring a hat or sunscreen. There is a restroom at the Park, our initial meeting location, but no restrooms at the planting sites.
