#ProtectOurPatients: Phone Bank to Keep the ACA!
#ProtectOurPatients is a grassroots movement of future health providers standing for access to health care for all Americans. At this moment, we need to prioritize calling senators (see below) who are most amenable to voting against ACA repeal. Please call these senators in addition to your own.

Also, the number of people in their state who have selected a marketplace plan in just the last two months of 2016 is listed, in parentheses, after the senator's phone number. Source: http://kff.org/other/state-indicator/total-marketplace-enrollment.

Please encourage people from the following states to get in touch with these Senators:

Script for Calling Republican Office
My name is *** ***, I am a (constituent / medical student / concerned citizen) calling on behalf of (my patients / community) to express concern about the possible repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

I think it is really important that Senator *** protect our patients. If the ACA is repealed, 30 million Americans will lose access to health insurance. In just two months this year, ___ [see # to right of phone number] people in your state have signed up for health insurance on the ACA marketplace.  I take care of patients every day who depend on the ACA for access to health care and who will have their health care stripped from them if the ACA is repealed.

[You can insert patient/personal story here if you have one about someone who depends on the ACA.]

I want Senator *** to block attempts to repeal the ACA. I hope that he/she will take this opportunity to improve the ACA, rather than tearing up the law and doing harm to my patients/community and his/her constituents. Thank you very much for your time.

My name is *** ***, I am a (constituent / medical student / concerned citizen) calling on behalf of (my patients / community) to thank Senator/Representative *** for supporting affordable health care and ask for continued support. As a [medical student, nurse, physician, etc.], I'm calling to advocate for the 30 million Americans who count on the Affordable Care Act for insurance. If the ACA is overturned, many of the patients I care for will lose access to affordable healthcare.

[You can insert patient story here if you have one about someone who depends on the ACA.]

I want Senator/Representative *** to block attempts to repeal the ACA. Thank you.
