Reading Extravaganza-March 1st
Volunteers are needed for HCS Reading Extravaganza Day on Friday, March 1st.
The Reading Extravaganza is in celebration of Read Across America Day,  a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2— Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
Time: 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Where: Henderson County Elementary Schools
What to Bring: Bring your favorite children's book or use a book from the school and read for 20 minutes to a classroom.
Also, make sure to bring your identification when visiting any Henderson County School.

This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for community members who have a love of reading. Simply, pick a school, pick a book, and then visit a classroom to read on March 1st.

Please sign up to volunteer by February 28th.
 Front Desk office staff will provide directions to your assigned classroom upon arrival.
