Elevate - Study Skills. Target audience Y7-12: A senior presenter from Elevate Education, Emanuel’s provider of study skills and academic motivation workshops for our Years 8-12 students, presents Elevate's key research and skills, and answers questions so parents can help their children navigate their final years of school. This session aims to keep parents informed and involved and empower parents to continue to reinforce study skills at home.

Design and Innovative Thinking. Target audience YK-12: In this session Eytan Messiah and Sophie Poisel will share with you some of the ways innovative thinking, design thinking and the Maker Mindset have been embedded in learning experiences at Emanuel.

Phonics. Target audience YK-2: An informative session with Jo-Anne Dooner from Get Reading Right (Emanuel's Phonics program). Jo-Anne will share the latest information about phonics and how you can support your child as he/she learns to recognise letters and learn to read.

Supporting Your Gifted Child to Achieve and Preventing Underachievement. Target audience YK-12: Ruth Targett is one of Gateways Education’s Senior Trainers. Ruth has extensive experience in schools as well as post graduate research in gifted education. Ruth has worked on several educational projects including work on assessment, resilience in learners and curriculum differentiation.

Inspiring and Supporting a Love of Reading. Target audience YK-6: Jo-Anne Dooner will outline strategies to support reading at home in order to create engaged and passionate readers.

The New Face of Assessment in High School. Target audience Y7-12: In the report 'The New Basics', The Foundation for Young Australians reveals the skills that will be essential in the 21st century for our graduates to engage with and navigate the challenges they encounter in the workforce. This session will address how this necessitates a change in the nature of assessment, and how Emanuel School’s High School classes implement strategies for formal assessment of these enterprise skills. Is there still a place for the traditional examination paper?

Home School Partnerships for Learning and Growth Mindset. Target audience YK-6: A parent session designed to help bridge the link between home and school learning. A focus on developing a growth mindset to support enhanced student wellbeing and engagement.
