The NOMINATING COMMITTEE is responsible for providing a slate of candidates for vacant offices and regional representatives to the Governing Board and at the Biennial Assembly, and be responsible for the conduct of all elections at the Biennial Assembly.

The AUDIT COMMITTEE supervises the annual end of the year audit and presents the audit report to the Governing Board.

The MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE assists in the development of local chapters and encourages individuals to become members of the national organization when no chapter is available in their area.

The FINANCE COMMITTEE oversees the ADLA accounts; develops an annual budget and a budget for the Biennial Assembly; develops, reviews, and revises, when necessary; ADLA's financial policies for Governing Board adoption; and, supervises the development and submission of proposals for special grants.

The COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE works with the chapters' corresponding and recording secretaries in gathering and dispersing pertinent information, works with the Program Committee in planning Biennial Assemblies, initiates and explores media concerns and interests, arranges for publication of articles written by ADLA members, publishes a regular newsletter, maintains social media, and works with the webmaster of the ADLA website to keep the site current.

The PROGRAM COMMITTEE in partnership with the local chapter, has primary responsibility for Biennial Assembly planning and develops and implements activities and projects.

The REFERENCE AND COUNSEL/MEMORIALS COMMITTEE reviews all proposed changes or additions to the Constitution and By-Laws, and other items not contained in the agenda of the Biennial Assembly and reviews memorials from Chapters and makes appropriate recommendations for Assembly action.

The SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE establishes guidelines and application processes for ADLA national scholarships. The committee receives, reviews, and makes recommendations for scholarship recipients.
