SWMC New contact/membership application (Junior)

If you are aged between 7 and 17 years of age, we invite you to join our Junior section of the club. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to join the club and climb with their child. Juniors must be accompanied to all club meets and activities by a responsible adult.

Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December in each calendar year.

The club is affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council. As a club member, you agree to your membership details being passed to the British Mountaineering Council.

Information regarding club events is made available on the SWMC website and online bulletin board.

I confirm that I am the parent/guardian of the above named child and that I consent for him/her to join/participate in SWMC activities. I acknowledge that club are supervised by unpaid volunteers who may or may not be qualified instructors. I also confirm that I have read the participation statement and that I am aware that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. I shall be responsible for my own and my child's actions and involvement.

I am aware the club is a Community Amateur Sports Club and when joining intend for my child to participate in the eligible activities (see website for definition) of the club on at least 12 separate days during the membership year.

The club has two sections, "Easties" and "Westies", with separate weekly meets. Members can go to either section whenever they want, but need to choose which membership secretary to register with.
