Pay to Participate Fee Information for District Funded. Parent/Guardian(s) qualifying for free and reduced lunch information listed below.
The Huron Valley School District, along with most school districts in Michigan, made significant cost reductions as a result of a reduction in per-pupil funding from the state. At the same time, operational costs including utilities, and insurance continue to rise at a rate much faster than incoming revenue. Rather than cut any of athletic programs, we want to maintain all sports, therefore, the district has implemented athletic participation fees.
Student-athletes in grades 6 through 12 will be required to pay a fee to participate in interscholastic athletics during the 2017-2018 school year.
