Robots take over the World  - Program and Build Robots using Lego EV3 Robotics, Make a short robot themed Stop
                                                        Motion / Animation, Research and report on the roles and challenges we will face as we
                                                        advance this technology, Read a robot based novel

Poetry and Parodies - Students will explore structure and literary elements used in writing poetry, investigate parody
                                        writing and use technology to perform/share their own parodies.

Woodworking - Build a CO2 Racecar and race against your friends, Choose a Personal Project - Birdhouse/feeder,
                                Cellphone station/speaker, Shelves, etc.

Current Events - Investigate, Analyze, and Discuss current national and international issues.

Hopkins Happenings: Student News - Student-produced, directed and anchored newscast focused on what's happening
                                                                        in "our neck of the woods"

Nutrition/fitness - 6 weeks of nutrition, 6 weeks of fitness activities

Art - Explore art through different media.  Students will learn how to use different tools of art to create different
                 projects.
