Upper Hutt Fencing Club invites you to attend the Fencing Central Under 15 Championships 2017 on March 5th

    Upper Hutt College River Gym (near Z petrol station end)

Format:
    All events will be a single round followed by Direct Elimination and if numbers permit separate Men and Women events will be held concurrently. 6+ Women will be required to split genders for any event, any less and the event will be mixed,

Sunday 5th March

Individual Epee – Single round of pools followed by Direct Elimination
    Weapons Control         Weights and Gauges tested on strip
    Registration          8.15 am - 8.30 am
    Fencing commences:    8.45 am

Individual Foil – Single round of pools followed by Direct Elimination
    Weapons Control         11.00 to 11:30 (Lames & Masks)
    Registration:         11:45 am - 12.00 noon
    Fencing commences:   12.15 pm (or on completion of Epee – if later)


Refereeing
    As always UHFC will attempt to organize enough referees so that competitors do not have to referee however in the event this is not possible we ask that senior fencers assist where/if there is a short fall.  

Entry fee
    $30 for 1 Weapon
    $40 for 2+ Weapons

Equipment Rental
    $5 - Single Item
    $10 – FIE Epee & Foil or Body Wire Rental
    $15 - Mask, Jacket, Plastron, Glove & Lame

Fees will be accepted on the day. Cheques are to be made out to ‘Cash or Fencing Central Inc’.

Affiliation - Affiliation details have not at this time been advised by the region so all athletes contact details will be passed to the Fencing Central Committee so that affiliation can be arranged.

Food & Drink - There are shops located nearby, no food stall will be set up for the tournament.

Standard Gear Requirements - Fencing Mask, Jacket, Plastron & Pants (350N) & Long Socks. W/Foil Lame if Fencing Foil – FIE Weapons are required.

Special Rule Notices
    Bayonet Wires/Plugs for Foil/Sabre are permitted.
    Sabre Gloves - The FIE requirement for 800N Gloves will NOT be enforced
    Visor Masks are strictly prohibited for all 3 weapons
    Leon Paul X-Change Masks "MUST" have the secondary Strap/Bar
    Leon Paul - All SR71 Epee Blades (2013-2015) are prohibited for use
