So, you've written a great script and just finished a long and grueling shoot. Now what? How do you now piece together everything that you just shot?

Join Emmy-award winning editor Mitch Martin as he takes you on a guided tour of the creative editing process! This won't be a boring lesson on using software, but a deeper look into the exciting process of how an editor makes creative, cinematic choices. Whether you are editing your own film or working with a director, this workshop will provide the framework for how to turn all of your footage into an award winning movie!

For over 6 years Mitch Martin has specialized in post production within the film industry. Throughout this time, he has Edited, Colored, and Supervised projects of all sizes for national brands such as FedEx, Terminix, TruGreen, ServiceMaster, The Memphis Grizzlies, and many more. He has recently collaborated on projects with talent such as Empire Writer & Director, 'Craig Brewer,' as well as Grammy® Award Winning Singer/Songwriter, 'Lady Rizo.'

His work ranges from Shortform to Shortfilm; Commercial to Music Videos. He enjoys working closely with Directors, Producers, Writers, Cinematographers, and Clients at all points during a project's lifecycle. Understanding each piece's theme, emotion, message, and audience, is something he aims to do on every project.

While he may not speak Pig Latin, he does happen to be very fluent in AVID Media Composer, Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, After Effects, as well as many other applications. He has experience supervising post workflows of all sizes, ranging from small single day shoots, to large multi-month productions on national social media campaigns.

If you are into shiny things, He has been fortunate to have receive 3 EMMY® Awards in the Mid-South region over the past three consecutive years for shortform editing. He has also worked on numerous projects that have received Golden ADDY® Awards in the Mid-South District over the past 4 years.
