Blaine County 4-H Food Festival
Saturday- April 21st from 2-4 PM
The purpose of this event is to have 4-H members use their creativity and love of food to plan and prepare food dishes. By participating in this event, members will demonstrate the ability to prepare their food, share their knowledge of basic nutrition and food preparation skills and display their food item attractively.
All food must arrive prepared, cooked and ready to be served. Remember to practice good food safety and keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold!
Every participant may have only ONE food entry. All participates will receive a certificate for taking part. Interviewees will ask all participates questions about their menu, nutritional value of their dish, their place setting, and any other questions about the dish that they prepared.
Your registration is due into the Extension Office by April 13, 2018 along with a copy of your recipe for the dish that you are going to prepare.
Day of Event:
• Bring prepared dish enough for potluck afterward
• Bring place setting (plate, utensils, glass/cups, center piece, table cloth, napkin)
• Bring menu (menu of what you would serve with the dish that you bring to serve---you don’t need to fix the whole menu)
• Have Fun‼!
