World Alzheimer's Day: Letters to Families Affected by Dementia
Did you know that 2 out of every 3 people globally believe there is little or no understanding of dementia in their countries? That’s why IPSF is teaming up with Alzheimer’s Disease International to raise awareness about dementia and its effect on patients, caregivers, & families. World Alzheimer’s Day is on Thursday, September 21st, 2017. The theme for this year will be “Remember me,” which highlights the importance of early detection and diagnosis of dementia.

IPSF invites YOU to join our World Alzheimer’s Day Letter Writing Challenge! The purpose of this challenge is to create motivating and encouraging letters to be sent to families, whose loved ones have been diagnosed with dementia. By this simple act of kindness, we can express our support and care for our future patients and their families.

The deadline for all letter submissions is Wednesday, September 13th, 2017. Submissions may be anonymous. Several of the most outstanding letters will be posted on Facebook during the week of World Alzheimer’s Day.

We thank you in advance for your heartfelt letters and kind words of encouragement. Together, we can ensure that those burdened by dementia are remembered!
