Location *
Let us know where you live to help us determine whether we will be able to hire you, and whether it would make sense for you if we have a last minute opening.
Is there a date by which you "need to know" if we want to hire you?
Please insert the date if there is a deadline by which you need an answer. While we aim to let you know as soon as possible, understand that we may need to hire judges with limited advance notice, so don't list a date that's not actually a deadline if you'd like to be considered even shortly before the tournament!

Judging Qualifications & Requirements
All judges must have graduated from high school.  All judges must be proficient in English.
Payment methods and requirements *
We are required to collect personal information (legal name, SSN) in order to pay you for judging. This is a requirement of the campus banking office and absolutely no exceptions can or will be made. If you provide this information to Stanford Debate during the tournament, we can pay you on the spot. If you'd prefer to give this information directly to the banking office via secure online interface (Stanford Debate never sees your SSN), we can accommodate that request, but it will delay payment by 2+ weeks and you'll be mailed a check.
What events are you qualified to judge? *
Select all that you are qualified to judge and would be interested in judging.

Varsity LD & Varsity Policy: additional requirements
In varsity policy and LD judges must have substantial experience, either competing, judging the event at invitationals, or both, and thus must be appropriate to judge a national circuit style of debate. This means that the judge should either be an active coach of varsity level competitors in the debate event they will be judging, or should have competed somewhat recently at a high varsity level at major invitationals.  Every varsity policy and varsity LD judge is required to post a complete and accurate paradigm on the Judge Philosophies Wiki (http://judgephilosophies.wikispaces.com) in advance of the tournament.  If you don't have a valid philosophy posted in time, we won't be able to hire you, no matter how qualified you may otherwise may be, due to the problems that this causes for teams when completing preference sheets.
Can you judge Varsity LD or Varsity Policy?
Only check an event that you meet the requirements to judge and would like to judge.
