Attendance for all sessions is mandatory, but we will consider applicants who need to miss one session for a legitimate reason.
How many hours per week will you have available to work on your prospectus during the boot camp? *
(We expect a minimum of 20 hours per week.)
Will you be able to complete the assignment for the first session (see web program description) and keep up with other required assignments throughout the program? This will, at times, require a substantial amount of time and writing (of the prospectus draft). *
Will you have access to your advisor or another faculty mentor during the program to consult with on field specific issues? *

What primary sources will you investigate in your dissertation? List the specific texts and cultural objects you propose to use, and/or the archives you plan to visit (and what the archives contain that is relevant for your project). *
We expect participants to have a pretty definite idea of their primary sources as a prerequisite for this program.
How will you analyze these sources? What theoretical lenses, if any, will you draw upon for your analysis? Briefly describe your analytical approach and/or conceptual framework. *
What subfields/areas of research bear upon your project? How do you conceptually situate your project in your field? How does your project make an original contribution? *
Dissertation Prospectus Information
Please describe what your advisor expects for your prospectus in terms of length (number of pages double-spaced) and components/sections (such as abstract, literature review, annotated bibliography, chapter breakdown, etc.)  If you haven't spoken with your advisor about this, please do so before submitting your application. *
