PSE PTA 2019-2020 Nominations
We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on the 2019-2020 PSE PTA Executive Board. To ensure continuous operation of the PTA throughout the coming summer and during the 2019-2020 academic year, we must fill all the positions listed below. You may nominate yourself or another interested party for one of these positions.

Our goal is to ensure that every parent has a voice and is given the opportunity to become actively involved in cultivating a positive and nurturing learning environment for every child at Philip Simmons Elementary.

Leader and key contact for the PTA
Coordinate all work of the officers and appoints all Committee Chairs
Chairpersons presides over all PTA meetings

Create/Coordinate Fundraising ideas
Plan and organize PTA Events
Coordinate merchandise including spirit wear
Research available grants
Manage community relationship development

Coordinate Volunteers
Establish a calendar of events with the PSE Principal that will require volunteers
Support PTA and School Programs
Update Volunteer Handbook
Lead the Welcome Committee for new parents & students

VP Programs job duties:
Organize and help oversee PTA funded Programs
Committee chairs report monthly to share with Board (Literacy, Wellness, Recycling, etc.)

Create ways to increase members
Maintain Membership Roster

Secretary job duties:
Create meeting agenda
Attend all PTA Board and General PTA Meetings
Record the meeting minutes

Secretary Nomination - Name & Contact:
Treasurer job duties:
Maintain all Financial reports and PTA budgets
Maintain Bank Account/Checkbook
Manage all PTA Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables
Files the yearly tax return with the IRS by November 15th using the 990-N (e-postcard)
Files a yearly Financial Review Form and a Financial Review Checklist with the SCPTA by October 1st
