Interested in learning Upholstery? Learn from the pros.  Artistic Upholstery is offering  specially priced "limited time offer" Beginner Upholstery Classes. Get more than the basics, make friends and have fun while you learn a new skill.

Classes will meet at 4440 Westshire Dr NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321. Located off of Alpine Ave. and next door to CP Pizza.

● Meet once a week Thurs or Fri or Sat  /  4 classes per month;
 Class size is limited, first come first served so register soon.

Sign up for the “one session time” that works best for you.
Beginner Classes:
Thurs or Fri class choices are Mornings 9-12am; Afternoons 1-4pm.
The Saturday class meets at 10-am-1pm.

Intermediate Class:
Friday 4-8pm
Saturday 2-6pm


● Instructors will provide cotton, burlap, Dacron polyester batting and other materials necessary to complete your project (except foam, fabric and tools). Supplies, foam rubber, and upholstery tools can be purchased at a discount too!

● Beginner projects must be a footstool, ottoman or dining room chair.

Intermediate class will complete a fully upholstered chair, having completed the beginners  course first as a prerequisite.

● Instructors have over 30 yrs experience. Learn from the pros, who know all the tricks of the trade and will teach you how to measure, cut and sew, make cushions, welt, skirting etc... you’ll get hands on instruction on an industrial sewing machine. In the Class sessions, students will learn the tools and parts and names of upholstered furniture, a brief history of the trade as well as safety during studio time. If you complete your project before the last scheduled class, you can bring in another approved project to work on during class time.

● Tuition cost for the Feb class is $100.00, and tools are additional.  The Grand Opening Discounted Pricing of 100.00 ends with the Feb classes.

Beginning in March the class cost returns to $240.00 for Beginner class
                                                $380.00 for Intermediate class
                                                $420.00 for Advanced class



Registration with payment holds your spot, spots are limited so if you cancel you forfeit $25.00 of your registration refund,
and lose your spot which will be filled by an alternate on our waiting list.

*Couples living at the same address can pay for one tuition at full price and get second one for $50.00.

We accept cash, checks or credit cards (with a 4% handling fee). You can send your check or money order payment to 4440 Westshire Dr N.W. Comstock Park, MI 49321 made out to "Artistic Upholstery" or you can call in your payment or come in and pay with a credit card in person at our shop.

*This On-line Registration and your Prepayment is required to secure your spot in class, as beginner class size is limited to 8 students.  Intermediate to 6 students.
