You are invited to Walk The Talk along Coxe Avenue, a highlight event of Strive Not To Drive!

We will not only walk the street, we will attempt to see the street, current and future, from the perspective of all who use it. Join elected officials, transportation planners, and community representatives as we walk and discuss one of Asheville's most quickly developing roadways: Coxe Ave.

Gather at 4:30pm at the ART Transit Station (49 Coxe Ave.) and enjoy some Busking in the Bus Station as part of Transit Riders Appreciation Day. The walk departs at 5pm, working its way south for three blocks, reaching a pop-up street treatment. This visual treatment reflects one interpretation of Coxe Avenue's transition to a safer more inviting walking and biking environment, as described by the Asheville In Motion (AIM) plan. The walk ends just below Hilliard Ave. Participants can walk back to the Transit Station or continue exploring the South Slope area.
