RSVP - May 22, 2019 QVCOG Greenstar - WM Materials Recovery Facility Tour

QVCOG member municipality staffs and elected officials are invited to tour this Waste Management facililty to get an insiders look at the destination for recycling materials collected at the curb. Materials Recover Facilities sort recyclables for the purpose of selling the commodities and keeping the materials out of landfills. Tour participants will meet at 9 AM at the Neville Island Facility. Address: 4100 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225. Tour is expected to be completed by 12 PM. Wear appropriate attire for a scap yard: long pants and boots.
