34th Annual Towson University Honor Band
In this form, you will find all pertinent information regarding the 34th Annual Towson University Honor Band. I am thrilled to be working with your students this year again and look forward to a fun day of music making. The honor band will be held on the Towson University Campus on Saturday, December 10th. This one-day clinic includes rehearsals throughout the day with our various band directors as well as applied faculty and will conclude with a wonderful public performance at 7:00pm.

Conductors for this year's honor band festival include Mr. Brian Balmages (composer, guest conductor, Assistant Director of Bands, Towson University), Mr. Eric Posner (Director of Bands, Atholton High School), Mr. John Miliauskas (Director of Athletic Bands, Towson University), and Christopher Cicconi (Director of Bands and Orchestras, Towson University).

The Towson University Honor Band Festival will feature 2 full concert bands. Both bands will work with each guest conductor. The first band will consist of a wind ensemble while the second band will take the form of a symphonic band. This will give advanced players more challenging repertoire while providing younger players with an opportunity to perform in an honor band that’s a little less rigorous. The ultimate goal for the day is to provide a fun and rewarding experience to musicians of all ages and abilities. The honor band festival is open to all high school students, grades 9-12.

Students are chosen and invited to participate in these honor bands solely based on your recommendation and input. Please complete each question on the following google form. Your rating and nomination plays a major part in the selection process. Please submit all nominations of students by Friday, October 28th.

We look forward to hosting your outstanding students on our campus and know they will have an enjoyable time. I look forward to meeting all of you very soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

Sincerely,

Christopher Cicconi
