FFW 2018 Housing for Students
We are pleased to welcome students from across the country to the campus of Calvin College for the Festival of Faith & Writing. When possible, we offer on-campus housing to students to help keep their costs for attending the Festival affordable. These accommodations are in dorms and on-campus apartments and can be as simple as space on the floor, though sometimes couches and extra beds are on offer. The cost for on-campus housing is $10 a night (This does not include any meals.) and guests must provide their own bedding and towels unless otherwise arranged with their hosts. We are currently recruiting Calvin students to serve as hosts and will work to provide as much space as needed, but we can make no guarantees. We expect to notify you of our ability to accommodate you at the end of March.
If you are a college or high school student interested in staying on campus during the Festival, please follow these easy steps:
1. Register for the Festival. Only registered student attendees will be considered for on-campus housing.
2. Confirm your specific travel times and fill out this form.
3. We will connect you with the student(s) who will be hosting you and inform everyone involved of the match. Note: We will provide your contact information only to the student(s) who will be hosting you, Calvin's Residence Life office, and Calvin's Department of Campus Safety.
4. When you arrive on campus, you will receive instructions for accessing your accommodations. Note: You will not be given keys to your room and will need to coordinate coming and going with your host(s). You might not have access to the room in the middle of the day.
5. Your housing fee will be payable to the Festival upon arrival. Cash payments are strongly preferred, though payment by check is an option. We CANNOT take credit cards for housing payments.
Thank you!
