Uplift 2017 Workshop Application
The Uplift Climate Conference is accepting applications to host a workshop at our conference.

Our 2017 conference is themed "WEAVING STORIES | CULTIVATING COMMUNITY". This year’s conference will be focusing on the interconnectedness of our movements, sharing the narratives of our unique landscapes and resilient communities, and using storytelling as our greatest tool for resistance. Workshop proposals that relate to this theme are especially appreciated.

Expectations: We are looking for workshops that explore specific aspects of the regional climate justice movement. The workshop session is a space for you to share your story and your work, to facilitate challenging conversations, and/or to equip Uplifters with valuable skills, knowledge, or resources. Workshops should be inclusive learning environments and empowering spaces for all attendees. Engaging, collaborative, and discussion-based workshops are generally preferable over lecture-style presentations.

Keep in mind that our conference is an all-outdoor gathering. Therefore, we cannot accommodate A/V or powerpoint presentations. However, we can provide other supplies such as easel pads, poster boards, art supplies, and more.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, August 4th at 5 pm.
