Urban Challenge Immersion Trip Application 2018
We are thrilled you are applying to attend the Urban Challenge Immersion Trip in Camden, New Jersey! The trip begins Monday, July 9th and ends on Saturday, July 14th.

Before you fill out the application below, please take time to read through the following checklist:

IMPORTANT: This application is only considered complete once you do the following:

(a) Complete this electronic form and submit it.

(b) Fill out and sign the Parent Release and Student Commitment Form (click here to access that form: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6jwxuGuuQvNd2xodUpyNVI5bFk).

(c) Submit payment for the trip or work out a payment plan.  The trip costs $300. Checks can be made out to SLUH. Anyone who needs financial assistance for the trip should contact Mr. Nick Ehlman (nehlman@sluh.org). We do not want financial barriers to prevent anyone from attending an Immersion Trip.

The Urban Challenge Program is an urban, service-learning, immersion experience rooted in the Catholic faith tradition through the Romero Center in Camden, NJ. Offering a point of access to the lives and stories of the people of Camden and its surrounding communities, the Urban Challenge Program is a unique educational and retreat opportunity that serves high school students between their junior and senior years. The program is built upon four fundamental components: prayer, service, education, and reflection.                                                                          Write 3 - 4 sentences on why you are applying to go on Urban Challenge.  Be thoughtful and specific! *
There will be 2 Pre-Trip meetings during evenings in May.  I will be able to attend both of these evenings. These meetings are a required part of the trip, since we will be getting to know one another and going over important information for the trip that evening. *
